The woman-focused practice offers well-woman visits, preventive care, menopause management, pregnancy care, 3D ultrasounds, and birth and delivery.

When you’re looking for experience and precision in gynecologic care, here’s why you should look to Women’s Health Specialists, PLLC.

Preventive care

Preventive care includes assessments and procedures designed to detect problems before they become problems. Some of the most common types of assessments include clinical breast exams, mammograms, and pelvic exams.

A clinical breast exam is a manual exam of your breasts, and we recommend having one done every 1-3 years if you’re between 25 and 39, and yearly after that.

Mammograms serve as both a screening and a diagnostic tool. They’re able to detect lumps in asymptomatic women too small to detect with a manual exam, and they can diagnose the nature of lumps they detect and diagnose symptoms you may experience, such as breast tenderness or nipple discharge.

During a pelvic exam, we manually check your reproductive organs for any abnormalities. Every 1-3 years we also perform a Pap smear to test for signs of cervical cancer, sometimes together with a test for HPV (human papillomavirus), the most common form of sexually transmitted infection (STI).

Gynecologic care

In addition to preventive care, our team specializes in diagnosing and treating gynecologic conditions, which include abnormal bleeding, endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and urinary incontinence, the last of which is common in pregnant women and women who’ve reached menopause.

When appropriate, the team performs a variety of procedures, such as minimally invasive surgery with the da Vinci® robot surgery system, NovaSure® endometrial ablation, and hysteroscopy.

We also test for a wide range of STIs, so if you think you may have an infection, make an appointment as soon as you can. We’re not here to judge. Our goal is to help you achieve the best health possible and prevent infections from becoming serious health threats.

Pregnancy care

If you’re pregnant or thinking of becoming pregnant, the Women’s Health Specialists, PLLC, team is here to guide you through all stages of the process. We usually see soon-to-be moms on the following schedule during their pregnancies:

If you have a high-risk pregnancy, such as being over 35 or having gestational diabetes, we can handle that, too. We may schedule you for more frequent pregnancy appointments to address the additional concerns.
